Aug 12 We had to wait a long time to race today, as the weather had caused the strip to be closed
due to high winds. We finally got to do our last run of the day on the short strip, and achieved licence qualification in the 175mph to 199mph, which
takes us on to the 200mph course tomorrow. The run today was hard due to loss of traction, and high speed wheel spins. I was at around 180mph indicated
and as I opened the throttle the rpm went up but the speed was stationary. We got through regardless and are hoping for better weather tomorrow.
